About Hellertown Trading
I've spent decades of Saturdays browsing yard sales, flea markets, and antique shops. When I started doing that, it was just for stuff I needed. Later I began to appreciate seeing things that predate my entry into this world, and then the mild shock of seeing my toys and other things from my childhood in antique shops.
I began collecting Mid Century Modern as that's the era where I grew up, but I expanded. As I learned I noticed good deals that I could resell and make some money to pay for my collecting.
This is warning sign that one is becoming an antique dealer.
That brings me to Hellertown Trading. This isn't your typical antique store.
I like to focus on machines and tech to display the changes and progress over the recent decades so young people can see it. I want to push your nostalgia buttons when you see things from your childhood. And whenever possible, to include the stories of these items- their histories, and sometimes how they got to my store, because that's often an interesting story itself.
You may see something here that you haven't thought about in thirty or forty years. Something you had. Something your parents had. Something you remember seeing at your grandparents' house.
It's part antique store, part museum, part mail and package pickup point, all in the style of an early 20th century trading post.
So please come find something that brings back memories or teaches something and continue its story inside your life.
