"Gaudi" is an armchair designed by Vico Magistretti in 1970 and produced by Artemide (Milan, Italy). It's a single-piece molded shell of fiberglass-reinforced polyester resin, with the armrests integrated into one sculptural form — a Space Age-era evolution of Magistretti's earlier Selene chair. The name is a nod to the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. Early 1970s examples are marked "patent pending" underneath; the design is in the MoMA collection.
